We are delighted with the service we received from Stacks. Having decided to settle in Bristol after seventeen years abroad we contacted Amanda Ake, the Regional Director, and haven’t looked back since.

We were unsure whether we wanted to live in Bristol itself or in the nearby countryside.  Amanda quickly understood our needs, showed us properties in both “town and country”,   talked us through the pros and cons of each area and, subsequently, of each property we were interested in.  She vetted everything that came on the market then called us and briefed us on the ones she felt we would be interested in and were worth flying over to see.  Timing is everything, and we saw most of the properties before they came to market or the day they hit the market].  Amanda or Stacks Managing Director, James Greenwood, were always available whenever we made a trip and worked around our flights and travel itinerary.

Once we decided on a house Amanda and James guided us through the negotiations and legal matters.  They gave us sound advice throughout on market prices and our negotiation strategy, and fronted the negotiations.  Importantly, the advice was clearly objective and free of the self-interest common with intermediaries.  Finally, Stacks recommended the solicitor and mortgage broker we used.

In short, we believe that we have made a higher quality decision, found a higher quality house, and Stacks fees were probably covered by savings on the price we paid.  The whole process would have been much more stressful without the help of Stacks and we’re already recommending them to any friends who are relocating to Britain.

I cannot recommend Stacks highly enough and in particular Amanda Ake and James Greenwood  who guided us through the process of finding our new home (and eventually securing it) with the utmost professionalism, empathy and enthusiasm.  Stacks handled all aspects of our move to Somerset from finding us our new home, to entering into negotiations for the purchase, liaising with the owners, agents and surveyor and to finally signing on the dotted line and helping us to secure our dream home. This meant that we could concentrate on the sale of our London property without having to worry about our purchase….and all at a time when we were imminently awaiting the arrival of our baby!  Once we had decided we wanted to secure the property Stacks had sourced for us, we were incredibly impressed with the dogged determination of James and Amanda to secure it for us and for the right price and all the time with the utmost professionalism.
