Summer 2010
The property market at the moment is complex and difficult to predict hence sellers are still being cautious about putting their property on the market and buyers holding back as they are finding it difficult to work out the true value of the property they are hoping to buy. This cautious behaviour by both buyer and seller means the market still appears very slow at the moment.
In the Bristol/North Somerset area it seems there are many people waiting until when they feel it to be the right time to market their property. The constant changing predictions in the media about what will happen to future property prices is further excaberating the problem. There are also many frustrated cash buyers who have put themselves into rented accommodation several months ago so they could snap up the perfect home when the supposed post election predicted flood of properties came to the market in Spring 2010.
The fact that this surge of property to the market has not yet happened makes it a good time to sell as the shortage of correctly priced good quality property means that those houses that do come to the market will sell quickly and hold their prices.
In short I know there are good properties to be found for our buyers especially those cash buyers in a proceedable position but it just takes more time and effort and being ‘in the know’ to dig them out. It’s in times like these that using a ‘property finder’ becomes invaluable as our local knowledge and expertise puts you that much needed position of being one step ahead in your search.
